Evening friends!
Now, I know you're all clamoring for more pictures of GTB and J-Boo, so here they are.
As you can tell, neither were up for a photographic session. I'll go even further than that, J-Boo was totally over it the minute she saw the camera. GTB was easier but not actually thrilled with the idea. What happened to the idea that 'kids' did what their parents wanted? Oh yeah, I think it stopped in about 1964. Did for me anyway.
We went to Bok Tower's 80th anniversary today. They had a carillon concert and we were able today to see the gold door on the tower and pass by the grave of Mr. Bok. We thanked him for his beautiful gift to us. The weather was great, (it was about 55 degrees with a slight breeze). The sun felt wonderful on our backs as we sat and listened to the music.
I took numerous flower pictures and a few scenics. Gosh it's beautiful there! Above is one of the scenics. I promise not to over indulge you with my photos, but it was such a wonderful photo day!
Enjoy. C-ya...

Aw, go ahead, over-indulge me :)
It WAS so beautiful, wasn't it? The camellias were just gorgeous - when I was growing up, they were called "poor man's roses" but, honestly, I love them more than roses and, from the number of camellia societies, I think I'm not alone. What is so incredible about the tower and gardens is that they were always meant to be used by the public; that had always been Mr. Bok's intention and they were available to the public from the start. He truly lived his mother's motto: "Make you the world a better place for having been here."
