Today I got to thinking. Yes, it is a very rare thing, (that's why I mentioned it) and it also gave me time to pause and reflect. On what you ask? You did ask, didn't you?? Well, let me tell you. I have decided to start doing something that I did every day when I was younger. No, not that you perverts!!! I'm again going to start fishing!
You see, when I was in high school, I fished almost every day (this could be why my grades were only C's and D's). In fact, I got quite good at it, (not getting C's and D's, but fishing. Pay attention!) During my previous posts, (you are reading them, aren't you), I showed you a picture I took of a sailboat. Right before I took that picture, I saw a woman fishing and she had what looked like a huge fish on the line. Now understand that I didn't actually see the fish, but she was struggling pretty good. This gave me the idea that I would again like to fish.
On Friday I stopped by Wal-Mart and got my fishing license, (I'm so old I remember when you didn't need one), and I also saw a reel that looked like it would be fine for me. The problem was however that the price was $70. I didn't have $70, so I hunted around for a similar reel that didn't cost as much. There on another hook in the same general area was the same $70 reel, marked $29.96. Being the kind of person that jumps on any opportunity to grab a bargin, I took it up to the register. The salesman didn't even bat an eye and before you can say, "Mark it with an E", I was the proud owner of a $70 fishing reel for $30!
Now understand that I still can't go fishing. I need the correct fishing pole. I don't have that yet. I will soon I then I will again be wetting a line in an attempt to land the big one. This is a very exciting venture for me. My wife can read her books, we can talk, I can take pictures while at the same time, fish. Yahoooozers!!!
That's all I have. Nothing else has been happening that's new and exciting. It's Easter tomorrow so have a safe and very reflective Sunday. We'll talk again soon.
God Bless!

Yahoozers . . . get out there and get me some fish. What's the limit on Red Snapper? After you catch it, haul it home, scale and filet it, I will be more than happy to cook it. Or, it might be easier to just run up to Publix? Ummmmm, does this make you the Old Man and the Sea? hehehehehehe
You think you're so funny, don't you, Jackie?? Well, you will be very sad, mad and not so glad when aren't eating any fresh fish, because being reduced to just salads is such a sad existence.
Not to worry though, an apology will be just what is needed to get you back in my good graces.
If you get a boat, I'll ride on it while you fish. Isn't that nice of me?
